Magic Cria

Classic Peruvian Magic is now a proven alpaca herd sire! The other day Magic had a gorgeous brown male cria hit the ground. Wow what a stunning boy. I opened up his fleece and his fiber is already very bright and crimpy. Magic is definitely throwing himself not only in fleece type but in appearance too. We have an awesome Magic mini-me here!!!

This little alpaca is not owned by us but he is one of our star boarders here at Walnut Creek. His mom is Bianca, a lovely white female sired by our AJ’s Peruvian Alliance. We have high hopes for her boy!

We are so very excited because we’ve waited a long time for Magic’s crias to start arriving. We bought Magic when he was only three months old. He arrived at our farm at weaning age at 6 months old.

So many people asked us how could we tell that Magic would turn out to be such a spectacular herdsire at such a young age. I always pray over the alpacas before we purchase them so I feel God put it in my heart to take a chance on Magic.

I wish I could have taken him to more shows because he is an amazing herd sire. At 5 years old he maintains a very fine fleece with outstanding character and long staple length. Dave got a big kick out of shearing him because when he sheared his legs the fleece would come off then greatly expand… talk about density… wow now that’s impressive!

We are so honored and thrilled to have Magic’s first cria arrive on our farm. I hope and pray he follows in his sire’s footsteps so that one day he will go on to be an 8x champion and great herd sire like his dad.
