The following is a list of alpaca organizations and regional alpaca associations. If you are new to alpacas be sure to contact the regional affiliate associations closest to your area. They are wonderful resources and they are extremely helpful and friendly too. Be sure to click on the link to see more associations for each area of the United States.
The Alpaca Registry (ARI)
The ARI is the alpaca registry in the United States. They have an excellent alpaca database for pedigree information as well as on-line articles about the alpaca industry.
Alpaca Owners & Breeders Association
The AOBA is the national alpaca association in the United States. They are an excellent source of information on alpacas, breeders and scheduled alpaca events.
Pacific Northwest Alpaca Association (PNAA)
A non-profit association of alpaca owners and breeders located in Washington, Oregon, Montana and Idaho.
New Mexico Alpaca Breeders (NMAB)
New Mexico Alpaca Breeders Website has farm sites, alpacas for sale, hands-on fleece (wool) examination, information on alpacas, lamas, suris and huacayas. Alpaca breeding is the fastest growing livestock and agriculture business in the U.S.
Alpaca Breeders of the Rockies (ABR)
Learn about alpacas, network with other alpaca breeders and keep up to date on the latest news in the alpaca industry with ABR.

Midwest Alpaca Owners and Breeders Assoc.(MOPACA)
MOPACA works toward the growth of the alpaca industry by providing a communication network for alpaca owners and breeders while sharing knowledge of husbandry techniques and marketing among its members.
Ohio Alpaca Breeders Association (OABA)
OABA was formed to combine the unique talents and efforts of all member farms in Ohio, regardless of size, allowing for more effective marketing, education and support, thereby facilitating success beyond those achievable as individuals.

The New England Alpaca Owners and Breeders Association (NEAOBA) is a vibrant and inclusive organization made up of a majority of alpaca farmers in New England.

The Deep South Alpaca Connection is dedicated to public awareness and education about alpacas and the alpaca industry. It is our goal to share the alpaca lifestyle with others and to promote alpacas in our three member states, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama.
